My husband has been training our son (10 yrs old) for many sports including basketball, football, soccer, etc.
We are now starting to teach him tennis! This device SKLZ Hyper Speed is great in helping him with his training performance! We've never really tested him using any tech gadgets before so this is a great device (p/s: we have nothing to compare it too! )
Super easy to setup! A few minor improvements: the charging wire should be much longer! Our son who enjoys sports and setting goals,
loves it. It's a nice design and very lightweight! The color is striking and the design is nice. It's a bit too loose for his small wrist but will was able to test it out! He was very excited to see his data for all the sprints and agility drills and made him wanna better his results each time (especially the speed and vertical jump!) . Would be a great addition to parents, athletes, and coaches trying to see the athletes results and help them achieve and track their abilities & improvements.
The SKLZ Hyper Speed Training Tracker is definitely different than any other fitness technology we’ve used. My favorite feature was the vertical jump tracker. With its app & training system, it’s absolutely ideal for high school athletes. The only downside to this tracker was that it took a bit to figure out the virtual finish line tracking. It doesn’t come with the best instructions. But once we got the hang of it, it was such a neat device!

I really like the Sklz Hyper Speed monitor. First the band is very comfortable. I hardly notice it is on my wrist. It was simple to set up with the app on my phone. I was able to set it up in less than 5 minutes. I can easily track my speed. The app is simple to use. I had my daughter try it for pole jumping at her track meet. She was impressed and was having a good time try to beat her score. The device is soft and does not interfere with movement. I am enjoying trying to beat my speed with a sprint. It keeps me focused and interested in keeping active. This is a high tech unique product. I think it will be a part of the track team requirement soon.
I think this is a well thought out product for athletes. My daughter didn’t need me to stand on the sideline with a stop watch. She was able to use it by herself and watch what she did so she could make adjustments or improvements. She plays soccer and runs track so this is a huge deal for her. I would recommend. Easy to use and you can use it on your own.
